How to Write Meta Descriptions - Part 2

Here are some more NOTES I found on the topic! :) 

SEO Meta Descriptions

For RankMath (What I Use), it should be less than 160 characters. But you want to fit as many quality words (like keywords) as you can, so use as many characters as you can without hitting 160.

Don't use quotation marks (you can use 'this' not "this").

Explain:

  • Benefits they will get
  • The value they will get
  • Things they will learn
  • Problems they will solve
Example: To consistently produce quality posts, use a content calendar. Here's a template!
In that example, the help is "consistently produce quality posts" and "Here's a template!" Adds value.

  • Use ACTIVE voice!
  • Include a CTA - "Get the answers you need now!"
  • PULL the reader in!
  • ENCOURAGE them to click to read!
